Aura Group Backs Digital Asset Advisory Firm Decentralised Capital
Founded in 2018 by Stephen Moss Decentralised Capital is a specialist in blockchain assets & investments offering over the counter (OTC) trading and asset management services with operations in Sydney and plans to expand into Asia.
Decentralised Capital will launch with an OTC desk for the high volume trading of digital assets and cryptocurrencies.
The OTC desk will be the first in Australia to offer directly held baskets of digital assets in top performing cryptocurrencies, platforms, and leading exchanges and be offered direct to consumer (B2C) or through intermediaries (B2B).
Decentralised Capital has received backing from Strategic partners including boutique financial services firm Aura Group, Kinsey Cotton a co-founder of proprietary trading group Tibra Capital and Vicknesh Pillay founding partner at TNB Ventures Singapore. The team brings a wealth of experience across cryptocurrency markets, financial markets, funds management, and distribution.
Stephen Moss, Founder and Director of Decentralised Capital said the OTC desk would meet a specific gap within the current market offering clients exposure to parcels of cryptocurrencies “it’s clear this is an emerging industry which presents lucrative opportunities, however they are often difficult to access. We are looking to simplify the industry for investors allowing them easy access to OTC parcels focused on industry growth, industry volume, and volatility as alternatives to the price of Bitcoin”
“The Industry has continued to thrive through it’s continued evolution from Decentralised currency towards decentralised exchanges, and now assets. We are currently witnessing the birth of a paradigm shift in early stage funding, from traditional centralized funding through VC’s and private investors to decentralised funding through ICO’s. In 2017 early stage projects raised over $3.9bn, and in 2018 we have seen this figure eclipse $5bn in Q1 alone through ICO’s.” Aura Group Managing Director Calvin Ng said.
Prior to founding Decentralised Capital Stephen Moss was a founding Director and CEO of BlackCitrus where he led a series of early stage investments within the VC industry, including COzero. Stephen was as an Executive Director and seed investor in COzero and was instrumental in growing revenue to over $200m per annum, and overseeing its further capitalization and expansion into Japan with Nippon Gas and Ennet. In 2017 Stephen resigned to focus on cryptocurrency markets founding Cryptoko, which later evolved into Decentralised Capital.
Aura Group is a global financial services business specializing in corporate advisory, funds and wealth management with operations in Australia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam with FUMA currently exceeding A$500m.
