Harvest B, a portfolio company of Aura Ventures, celebrated earlier this month after CEO and Co-Founder Kristi Knaack Riordan was awarded the Excellence in Manufacturing Award at the 12th annual Women in Industry Award Gala.

The Women in Industry Awards recognise outstanding women from across a range of industrial sectors who are breaking down barriers and creating new possibilities for the next generation. Women working in traditionally male-dominated industries, such as mining, transport, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, bulk handling, waste management, rail and construction and infrastructure, are invited to attend and be nominated.

Nominated by peers in the industry, Women in Industry noted that Knaack Riordan was selected for the award for Harvest B’s dedication to addressing “global protein needs and sustainability concerns” in the global food systems.

“Thank you, Women in Industry, for the honour. And thank you for your work to acknowledge the important role of women in designing, building and maintaining our physical world with engineering, transport, construction, manufacturing and mining capabilities,” Knaack Riordan said of the honour.

Held on the 8th of June, the awards night was sponsored by several companies, including Australian Mining, PACE, Manufacturers’ Monthly, MHD Supply Chain Solutions, Prime Mover, Inside Construction, Waste Management Review, Inside Water, Rail Express, Roads & Infrastructure Australia, and Energy Today.
